Win Yourself A Cheap Tray

MozWell it turns out that despite my inate anti-corporate sentiments, my Valentine’s Day didn’t suck. I got a huge dinner, and a tulip. What more can a boy want? Kew Gardens brand cardamom chocolate is what. Also a half day, which is a wonderful thing whichever way you look at it.

A catch-up tonight on this week’s music – specifically Mark Lanegan and Strategy. In addition, Le Moz’s classic Everyday Is Like Sunday, the 12″ 45′ of which has been on constant repeat today. NB: that’s Everyday, not Every Day – it’s a significant difference. The song’s coastal references recall very accurate memories of just last week.

Strategy – Can’t Roll Back (Future Rock)
Morrissey – Everyday Is Like Sunday (Viva Hate) (download here)

In other slightly bizarre news, my local MP (Lynne Featherstone, LibDem Hornsey & Wood Green) has been voted 5th sexiest MP. I find politics bewildering as it is, what with the House of Commons’ menagerial whooping being the only sound that most remember of any debates. But this is another level. Congratulations to Jeremy Hunt, I suppose.
